Prop 3

High-Income Tax

What it is

Proposition 3 would make the current tax rates for California residents earning more than $371,000 a year permanent instead of expiring in 2031 as originally intended. 89% of the money generated from Proposition 3 would go to K-18 schools, while 11% would go to community colleges. Any excess funding would be used for public healthcare.
